Our Four Family~
Stu: I am a happily married father of two, and a teacher for students with learning challenges who came to the United States from England to work for 6 weeks in 1996. I fell in love and eventually married my beautiful supervisor, Robyn. I have had way too many jobs due to a restless spirit and a desire for new experiences including being a kayak guide, a scuba instructor, naturalist, working construction, EMT, short order cook, and boat crew, to name but a few. I am happiest out of doors, and can be found surfing my paddleboard at local breaks in California, or hiking the local peaks. It’s a great big world, and I love that my family shares my desire to explore as much as possible. We have noticed that the things that were hardest to bear on a trip are the things we talk and laugh about most for a long time afterwards.
Robyn: I love being a mom of two kiddos, wife to an adventurous husband, and am passionate about teaching students with moderate and severe disabilities. I love living close to the ocean and am often seen running, hiking, and walking on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific. I love being a teacher especially advocating for students that need the extra TLC to be successful in school and in life. I am married to the man of my dreams and am often struck by how cool my children are (I do question where and how they got to be that way). I have always wanted my family to have a global perspective and our 4 family’s adventures have proven that even on a tight budget this can be accomplished.
Meggie: I am a freshman in highschool. However, I have known from a young age of the two things I love most in life; traveling and wildlife. I have the idea to be a wildlife photographer advocating for animal rights. This will give me the chance to travel and hopefully meeting and protecting endangered species all around the world. I am lucky to have been able to take part in our travels including the upcoming amazing trip to Finland. This will not only be such an amazing adventure of its own, but will also give me knowledge that will lead to more wonderful trips in life I hope to make. I love sports, specifically cross country. My brother cringes right now at the thought of how competitive I am, especially when it comes to running. I love everything that has to do with the beach. I’m so very lucky to live on the CA coast, but I Can’t stop thinking to myself how wonderful and exciting my home for the next half year will be!
Liam: I am 11 years old and like traveling because it makes me open minded about the world. Going to different countries opens my horizons. I enjoy tasting different kinds of foods, my favorite was the falafels in Israel. My parents laugh because my sister and I have learned to operate lots of unusual toilets. I know that riding a camel is easier and more fun than riding a horse…
